Is there any way you can post a course map with elevation? I would like to do the 2009 race, but want to know what it looks like. Thanks!
The course is fantastic for the 1/2 marathon because all the hills are in the first half of the race (Iroquois Park). Then you run down Southern parkway, through Churchill Downs, and finish downtown (all of this is flat). The marathon breaks off around the 10 mile mark and runs through Cherokee park (more hills) across 2nd Street bridge to Indiana and back to finish downtown. I have run the 1/2 multiple times and there are people cheering for well over 3/4 of the course. I am planning to run the marathon for the first time in '09, and I hear the bridge is definitely the back-breaker. Here is a link to the marathon '08 route. It has been the same as long as I have known about the race. http://www.mapmyrun.com/run/united-states/ky/louisville/297999220

Can a person who is running the mini also run the first leg for a relay team? They would have two chips for the first 6 miles and then pass the chip to the next relay team member.
